Done Right

As an organization we stand behind all our products and services. We take the time to thoroughly outline the project from the onset, addressing all issues and challenges. We then go above and beyond to ensure all our solutions meet the most rigorous operating conditions and environments.

It’s about putting in the preparation and always following through so we get the job done right the first time.

OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH & SAFETY

Noise is one of the most common workplace hazards. Workers in many industries and occupations throughout Western Canada are exposed to noise levels that are so high that their hearing can be damaged. Because of these risks, employers are responsible for minimizing the noise hazard at their workplaces and must comply with different province’s Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) legislation.

At MERLIN, health and safety is always our number one priority. That is why we have been working alongside industry to create a more productive and safe work environment for all. Through prevention, training and compliance, we design the foundation that provides peace of mind while adhering to the highest level of health and safety standards.

The following are different areas MERLIN can assist you in developing an effective Noise Management program for your workplace:

OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH & SAFETY (OHS) COMPLIANCE PROGRAMS

Through our extensive experience with noise and its effect on employees as well as our comprehensive understanding of different province’s noise legislation, MERLIN can work with you to develop cost-effective compliance programs that go above and beyond industry standards and ensure that your organization and team members are well protected from noise related issues.

NOISE SURVEYS OF FACILITIES

IDENTIFICATION AND CORRECTION OF NOISE SOURCES

Upon completion of this review, once hazardous noise levels are properly identified, we can recommend effective noise control solutions that will make your work environment safer and compliant with provincial legislation. These cost-effective solutions can include:

  • Eliminating or Substituting the Noise Hazard
  • Use Engineering Noise Control to Reduce the Exposure Noise Levels
  • Implement Administrative Controls to reduce the Exposure Time for Operators
  • Assess the Most Appropriate PPE (Earplugs and or Earmuffs) for Individual Operators
STAFF & MANAGEMENT TRAINING

MERLIN has developed effective tools to assist in educating employees and employers about noise levels, the impacts they can have on an individual, effective workplace processes and how employees and employers can better protect themselves. These tools include presentations, policies and signage to create a more knowledgeable environment.

ANNUAL REVIEW AND UPDATE

To be effective in preventing work-related hearing losses, verification of your processes and noise levels should be done on an annual basis. Through our extensive review we can ensure the program is doing exactly what it is intended to throughout the entire life-cycle of your operations.
